Notes Organizing Principles
This note documents the principles to follow throughout the whole notes organizing systems.
Golden Rules
- Use built-in features whenever possible.
- Use tags whenever possible, don’t define metadata.
- Use universal features whenever possible.
- Don’t be persnickety about all-in-one.
- Maximizing compatibility without sacrificing ease of use.
- Distinguish the things that wrote and things that you took note of.
Sections
What retrieved the same way, used the same way, shall stay in the same
place.
- Emphasis - How to emphasize things, e.g. bold, italic, etc.
- Categorization - How to categorize things, e.g. tag, folder, sections, type.
